Quick and Easy Outdoor Art

So I was recovering from our beach outing yesterday and didn't feel up to much.  So I simply taped up a large sheet of paper onto the fence gave the kids some paint and Voila!  Instant Art.  The kids had fun and it gave me time to baby my sunburn!  The kids used the paint brushes most of the time and would switch and trade colors (I only gave them three to keep down the clean up) and even did a little color mixing.  Eventually C got her fingers involved and J painted a little of the house but it was all a very easy clean up.  Good Outdoor Fun!

So I thought I would just dive right in and start posting some pictures of the work the kids have worked on recently.  The twins are now 37 months old (really when did that happen!).  We were at a petting zoo yesterday and the kids were able to pet and observe: goats, sheep, a really dirty pig, baby chicks and a couple of bunnies.  C really loved the bunnies.  Later that day she asked me for her crayons and paper and within minutes she had drawn this.

I asked her what she had drawn and she said a bunny!  I asked her what each of the parts were and she pointed out the belly (the squiggly parts), the legs, the eyes, the cheeks (the lines on the side of the face), the nose, the mouth and the ears!  I thought she did really well!
